PSU Accreditations
The whole online controversy about what schools are "accredited" and which are not are a tempest in a teapot. They are a diversion created by competing schools that charge half a million and leave their grads on the street corner without a job after four years, compared to $99 at PSU with a successful new business! To set the record straight, PSU's credits are NOT accepted for advanced degrees (nor are ITT, Devry, U of P, Penn Online, etc.) but ARE accepted for licensure, City and State registration, Association membership, starting new businesses, buying wholesale, trade references, bonding, insurance, bypassing trade exams, and are Nationally accepted and accredited at far more places than any Community College-- at 1/10th the price of those programs!!
PSU's mission is the credentialing and licensure of those who wish to start a home, shop or office based business. The "accreditation" you need for real success means licensure, trade acceptance, wholesaler acceptance, bonding, and association acceptance. NO trade school, from ITT to DeVry to hundreds of others has DOE accreditation for DEGREES with other schools! Instead, trade schools are more concerned with getting their grads accepted within their trade, insurers, wholesalers, associations, and licensing agencies!
It is a non-sequitor to say: "These guys don't have traditional DOE accreditation, therefore, their credential is of no value", unless your sole goal is acceptance of the good old boy's club of college to college transcripts. PSU's credentialing is accepted by licensing bodies, bonding underwriters, wholesalers, trade, insurers, and everyone you need to succeed in business, not everyone you need to spend a lifetime in school! If you need to spend 10 years in school: go that route, if you need to make significant income in your own business: consider PSU! We also send thousands of college to college transcripts every day to those that do accept trade acceditation.
Our programs are accredited and accepted by each association that MATTERS, on an individual course basis, AATVS for the trades, pastoral for counseling, locksmith bonding for locksmithing, etc. In addition, grads receive trade references, discounted or free association membership, ID's, bonding, licensure and wholesale buying acceptance with their PSU certs. Thousands of grads are starting their new businesses, getting licensed, and being accepted by wholesalers and associations, as well as joining PSU's referral networks, every day.
Licensing boards, bonding underwriters, and sellers that accept our grads are huge, national and have nothing to do with PSU. Competitors have taken our domain registrars (such as NSI) and their investors and said "This investor owns domains at both PSU and AATVS" when in fact, they simply register domains for millions of organizations. ETI, PSU, AIG (bond underwriter), Davidson's and Brownell's, for example, all have the SAME registrar, and in fact all accept our grads, but have NO common ownership!
To put is very honestly: If you are looking at the KIND of accreditation that gets you accepted for more school at other universities, is DOE listed, and will make you a successful lifetime student-- this is NOT your program. If you are looking for the kind that includes trade references, association acceptance, bonding, protection of your practice, protection of your license, protection of your business, wholesale trade acceptance, licensure, insurance, and everything you need to succeed in your own business, this IS your type!
The first costs half a million, takes 4 years, and leaves you pennyless and jobless; ours costs $100, is fully guaranteed, and leaves you with licensure and your own business! To say that an organization offers one but not the other, so that one is of less value or no value, is a complete non sequitor! Over 30 years of building networks and relationships and corridors full of thank you letters is our true reward-- and YOUR benefit over traditional schools!
Another key point missed by many competing schools and uninformed and anti-rights posters is PSU's size. With over 10,000 students, thousands of domains, hundreds of courses and websites, and thousands of company and association agreements, we have the financial and scope power to stand behind our grads without having to charge them their life savings. How is it possible to Google every trade covered by PSU and find PSU's site at the top? Google's formula prevents kitchen table scams by it's very nature: either you have to spend $58,400 a day (locksmithing example) in advertising, or you have to have been in business for decades and get 50,000 plus backlinks and hits to maintain that position. In addition, our TOP auction ratings, buyer protection on every sale with Paypal, and many other details are impossible for smaller organizations. We are based in Delaware and incorporated in every State in which we do business, with our HQ in Delaware where we were founded. Like the "fine print" in every online school, we do not offer courses in States that prohibit non residency courses (same as ITT, U of Phoenix, Devry, etc.). After 40 years in business, we've worked with every State out there, and NONE have issued a single complaint or action after seeing what we offer and how we do business, including being just the OPPOSITE of many of the scams out there today!

Many of PSU's programs began as due diligence for bond originators, and this is still a very large part of our portfolio. For a professional to get certified or re-certified for their bond, a due diligence/ testing organization has to certify to the bond underwriter that the program participant meets minimum bonding requirements. Trade pros need bonds and CEU's to either get licensed, or keep their license, and PSU is the underlying bond approval source for the largest professional associations in the world, from Nuclear Engineers to Medicine, Military, Law Enforcement, Information technology, and Home based businesses. Pros that lose their bonds are sent to PSU by the granting association for remedial review and re-certification! If you didn't get your credential at PSU, and you then find you need a bond, you might be surprised to learn that PSU is actually accepting, rejecting, or approving your bond in the background! This is one of our largest divisions, and our underwriters include GE Capital, Wells Fargo, AIG, and hundreds of other surety originators and underwriters. Our lucky grads meet the requirements right out of the box--as they are built into every program and association recommendation we send. Often a year's association membership, or a discount, is INCLUDED with your PSU cert as well.

Phoenix State University IS NATIONALLY ACCREDITED. Does this really MEAN Anything?
This is another BIG problem with the accreditation game! PSU IS nationally accredited as a trade school. Some other schools with the SAME accreditation (metioned elsewhere on this site) even say "WE are NATIONALLY, NOT just REGIONALLY accredited!"
The problem is, it is REGIONAL accreditation that "matters" if you care about credits transferring and acceptance by "establishment" schools! We're HONEST in saying NO, we are NOT regionally accredited at this point, although we are in the process and have applications in at the newly renovated DOE (we're also not DOE listed like MIT, Harvard etc.-- we're a TRADE school, and our courses cost hundreds, not $50,000 plus and result in MORE SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEURS than the traditional schools that cost that much!).
Even though we've been the recognized leading trade school for over 50 years, and are the hands down LEADER in most of our course areas nationally (Gunsmithing, Reloading, Pastoral Counseling, Locksmithing, Bodyguards, Firearms Instructors, Pet Care, and numerous other you can check out HERE...)
There are still a few "noisy" complainers on the web about our programs, like ANY other program, but PSU has the documented highest number of satisfied grads of ANY online program! The grouches you see on the web are either gun banners, the same ONE person who couldn't get a password to work, fibbers, competitors... a dozen or so people who have their own AGENDAS. If we were as bad as they say, why are we the ONLY school that takes plastic anymore, and the ONLY school that gives refunds AFTER enrollment???
Heck, you can spend $20,000 for the same program we offer for $200, NOT pass your bonding requirements, and then find out only later that the school you chose instead of PSU has even MORE COMPLAINTS than PSU! The TRUTH is: all schools have angry folks who either have agendas, who flunked out, or who didn't want to put the work in to succeed, and are looking for others to blame. MANY complainers are just lemmings who don't have a life, and go "along" with other complaints!
